Headstones — handcrafted memorial monuments with portrait and bespoke design

We create each monument individually — from sketch to hand-carving. A faithful portrait, fine engraving and durable granite, in which the face of a loved one is brought back with love and reverence.

A monument in which the face comes to life

There comes a moment when a family wishes the memory to be more than a plain slab — to take on a true, recognisable likeness. That is why we give special attention to the artistic side of the monument: the portrait, the precision of the carving and the clarity of the design. We transform a photograph into a living image in stone, one that remains just as distinct years later.

We do not work from templates. First we listen to how you envision the monument, then we draw an original sketch, and only after your approval do we begin carving. The granite we choose withstands the weather, rain and sun for decades — without losing its colour or texture.

Work crafted by our own hands

From portrait to installation — we oversee every stage ourselves

Portrait engraving

We transfer a photograph onto stone as a living, recognisable portrait — preserving the precision of detail, gaze and expression.

Artistic carving

A cross, flower, candle, icon or ornament — we carve relief elements by hand to give the monument a living, gentle character.

Original design

We create an individual sketch of the monument — adapting form, proportion and style to the family's taste and the burial space.

Granite and marble monuments

Selected, dense granite or noble marble — we choose the material by colour and durability, according to your wishes.

Inscription and epitaph

We engrave the name, date and epitaph in a clear, legible Georgian typeface that remains easy to read for years to come.

Delivery and installation

We deliver the finished monument ourselves, prepare the foundation and install it firmly and precisely at the burial site.

What sets us apart

  • A portrait with a true likenessWe work on the engraving with particular care — we do not stop until the face truly and recognisably comes to life in stone.
  • Everything by handWe carve and detail by hand so that each monument is an individual, original work — never a template.
  • A material that enduresWe use dense granite that retains its colour and sharpness for decades — the engraving does not fade with time.
  • Quiet, considerate workWe understand the weight of the moment and act calmly, without unnecessary fuss, with respect for the family's memory.

Answers to your questions

How recognisable will the portrait turn out from a photograph?

We work with both clear and less distinct photographs so that the portrait transferred onto stone is recognisable and lifelike. At the sketch stage we show you how the engraving will look before we begin carving.

Can I propose my own idea or sketch for the monument?

Of course. If you already have an idea for the form, ornament or inscription, we will turn that idea into an original sketch and refine it together down to the last detail.

Granite or marble — which is better?

Granite is denser and more weather-resistant, holding the engraving longer; marble has a warmer, softer character. We will make the right choice together, taking colour, budget and location into account.

How long does a monument take to make?

The timeframe depends on the complexity of the design and engraving. We will give you an exact timeframe as soon as the sketch is agreed and keep to the promised time — without sacrificing quality for speed.

Is it possible to add engraving to an old, existing monument?

In most cases yes — a new inscription, date or portrait can be added to a monument that is already in place. This requires an inspection of the monument, which we arrange by coming to the site.
